An Attempt at a Toy Bag

Last week a good great friend of mine asked me to make birthday gifts for some little people in her family.  Girls are easy but boys, boys are tough.  I've been wanting to make some cozy toy bags for awhile so this was the perfect opportunity to give it a try.

I used an Amy Butler pattern, one that I've used before, but I guess I didn't totally understand the construction because it came out two sided instead of corduroy on the outside and flannel on the inside.  It is a good thing that my sewing mistakes can make me laugh.

It is still a cute toy bag.  I like to think of it as unique.

My favorite part was the handstamped name I added using my new fabric ink pad.  Oh Boy!  These ink pads are cool.  Step aside iron-on patches, rubber stamps are my new favorite detail.
