For the Birthday Girl

Today is the day. Five. She has been talking about her birthday for months so I had to make her something extra special. I used one of her other dresses for the basic size then I sort of winged it from there. I wanted it to be a surprise so I'm not sure how well it fits. I can't wait to see it on her.

Back.
It was so quick and easy that I just had to make another. I've been holding on to this Sandi Henderson fabric for awhile (bought here) and a dress for a soon to be kindergartner seemed perfect.

Speaking of kindergarten, she is so ready. "Mom, how do you spell map?" She asked me last night. "How do you think, sound it out." "Mmmmm aaaaaaa ppppppp" Then she handed me this.

It is a map to the butterfly garden where her grandmother is taking her today.

Due to this sudden interest in writing I had to whip up some little notepads and blank books for writing. I made some for Ava a few years ago and they are so fun to look through. Simply made of designed card stock used for scrapbooking and white paper by cutting, folding and stapling.

By the way, this is my favorite post about Erin.
