Embrace The Camera

I love checking out Emily's adventures over at The Anderson Crew.  That is one crazy life she leads but man she lives!  I love love love that every Thursday she posts a picture of HER and her kids.  She writes in a lovely post here that we moms find it so easy to snap away every detail of our kids lives but there is no documentation that we were there too.  They will not want must want to remember all those games they played but they will want to remember their mom too.  So... time to stop hiding behind that lens and...

I snapped this picture while in the middle of a heated Lego game of Banana Balance.  That girls got skills.

First I tried timer.  No good.

So I grabbed my camera and my girl and we embraced it.  Now mind you plenty of picture have been deleted.  Perminantly deleted.  But this is something I want to do, need to do, on a regular basis.  For them and for me.  So thanks Emily for encouraging me to Embrace the Camera.

I'm extremely camerashy, but it is so true, I should do this for my boys. Thanks for the inspiration. You are both so beautiful!

Alright. You're on. I hate having my photo taken, but with all this adoption stuff going on I came to the rather shocking revelation that if I don't start occasionally getting in the picture there is going to be no evidence of me ever being there with the family. So two days from now, something with me and the girl. Going to go check out the blog now.
