Last week I took Ava to Bookmans, a local used bookstore, while Erin was at a friends house. She wanted to go for one reason and one reason only... to get a joke book. You see Erin has this natural humor that everyone seems to pick up on immediately so Ava decided to acquire a few jokes of her own. I thought with one kid gone and one with her nose in a book that I might get some things done but I ended up being the recipient of all jokes for two hours. I must have responded "whose there?" six dozen times.
Here are a few highlights.

I grabbed some American Girl books, Anne of Green Gables (which I have not read) and one more that has been on my list of books to read. Summer is almost over for us but I'm going to squeeze in as many books as I can before I go back to work.

LOVE Bookmans! It's been a summer staple for us too... My 4 year old has recently started making up his own knock-knock jokes which has been, interesting! I'll have to share a few of these so he can up his game a little.
Anne of Green Gables is a great summer read out loud. I loved it when, for the first time, my kids heard old jokes from me. They thought I was brilliant.
