Normally I have a Project ReStyle posting on Sundays but I seem to have a bit of a hording emergency on my hands.
Lately I've been going through a collecting phase. I get so excited about the potential in things that I just have to get my hands on it. I've started countless knitting and sewing projects only to tuck them away when I don't like the result. Now that I've started my spring cleaning all that 'out of sight out of mind' has come back to haunt me. I love yarn and fabric as much as the next crafter but sometimes enough is enough. It's time to go.
First I filled a laundry basket with acrylic yarn or colors I'm not crazy about. Then I sorted my yarn from yarn the girls are free to use. Now I have two tidy shelves for me and a few baskets of kids yarn in the craft room.
The rest is going to the teachers lounge at school and then on to Goodwill if there is any left. I even bagged up the projects I knew I'd never finish, maybe someone will use them for scrap yarn.
It feels so good, like a thick wool sweater has been lifted off my shoulders.
This afternoon I'm hitting the fabric stash. Wish me luck, I'm gonna need it.

Wow. Good for you. That was a big project. It takes time to get the oomph, but all is well that ends well. How wonderful to donate your extras!
