Science Friday - Sandbox Volcano

This science activity was a big hit. Here is what you'll need to build your own sandbox volcano.
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup vinegar
3-4 drops of red food coloring
a teaspoon
a small container: a small recycled water bottle is the perfect size and shape but use what you have on hand.
dinosaurs, optional but they add that extra element of fun.

Pour the vinegar and food coloring into the small container.

Then bury your container in the sand and invite some unsuspecting dinosaurs to check out the new landscape. Add the teaspoon of baking soda get ready for the lava.
