Celebrating

I felt like Holly Golightly this morning.  I was not standing outside Tiffanys yearning for diamonds, but while I was waiting for Anthropologie to open I was daydreaming about what it would be like to move in. Can you imaging living at Anthropologie?  Blowing out all those candles and crawling into one of the big comfy beds.

Hummmm.  Now I'm daydreaming about how much fun I'd have picking out what to wear in the morning.

Okay.  I'm back.

I was at Anthropologie today because I was doing a little birthday shopping.  For myself!  Presents are great and all but I'll take guilt free shopping over a surprise any day.  I hit the sale room with my 15% off birthday coupon and came home with a few cute things.  Now if only the temperatures would drop below 100 I might be able to wear them.

Speaking of birthday presents, I got this 10 years ago.

Best.  Present.  Ever.

I wish I had more pictures of Wrigley as a puppy.  He was so dang cute.  One of our friends from Denmark was trying to tell us he looked like a polar bear but she called him an ice bear instead.  It stuck.

"Ice Bear"
"Wriggy"
"Wriggles"

He wags his tail no matter what you call him, even if it is "Little F-er".  He is the happiest, most loyal companion I could ever ask for.  I love that sweet boy.

So, I turned another year older yesterday.  My 37th was pretty uneventful.  I've had one of those low-key, lingering birthdays.  Cake, flowers, cards and dinner with friends is all I need to make happy.  And a trip to Anthropologie was pretty awesome too.

I hope you had a relaxing weekend.

Happy Birthday! Now I'm reminded that I didn't get my 15% off coupon...I'm gonna have to get to the bottom of that one.

My husband is Norwegian, and the direct translation for polar bear is "ice bear" so I'm guessing its the same in Danish too. There are few cuter things in this world than puppy labs...oh, if they could only stay that small forever!
