We had a birthday in the family today. Seven decades calls for celebration so my husband's brother and sister's families came in from out of town. Instead of throwing a big party for my mother-in-law we decided to spend the night at a resort down in Tubac, a small town near the boarder of Mexico.
This country club is popular for weddings and is perfect for a family weekend. We were able to rent several Casitas next to the pool. These small suites are surrounded by grassy fields and small courtyards with fountains. Besides the sound of cousins playing it is quiet and peaceful and very relaxing.
The kids, 9 all together, had so much fun playing kickball, going swimming and just being together.
The overnight trip went much too fast so I took a long walk back to the lobby to return the keys and snapped a few pictures along the way.
Family will be going home soon and my girls miss their cousins already. The weekend could not have been more perfect. Jeff and I are already talking about planning our next trip with the girls and making it an annual event.
