Last weekend the girls and I had a picnic at the park. Now according to Elsie of A Beautiful Mess, picnics should be the new fro-yo date. Not sure what a 'fro-yo date' is but go check out her list of 10 Things I Love Sunday - Spring Trend Edition. Cool beans.
I was looking up at the sky and dreaming about all the things I want to do and how there is just not enough time for it all. I'd love to give everyone I know handmade gifts for showers, birthdays and Christmas. I want to make dozens of things to donate to my kids' auction in the Spring. I want to finish this sweater I've been working on so I can wear it before the temps hit 80. *sigh*
Quick side note: Sorry for anyone out there who is freezing this January. Yes, it was a beautiful day at the park.
Also in the back of my mind was what to make for dinner, helping my 3rd grader finish her class project... I could go on but you know that list. That nagging list of if I did these things we would all be much better people.
But then I look at these faces and remind myself to stop and enjoy the moment. That other stuff may or may not get done. The crafty ambition and chores can wait. Today I must enjoy these goofballs.
Well the afternoon trip to the park was just what we needed both physically and mentally. I opted to head to the craft room instead of the kitchen when we got home and I got on a No-Sew Iron-On kick (in case you couldn't tell by my recent blog posts). I made so many that yesterday I decided to re-open my Etsy shop and list them for sale. I've been wanting to make my way back to Etsy and I gotta say this is not exactly what I had in mind, but for now it's a start. There is a lot of work to be done, like better pictures for starters, but just knowing that it is up and running feels like I've accomplished something.
