Today is
Jumpstart's Read for the Record. People all over the world will be reading the 40 year old classic, The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The book is so pretty I just want to hang it on my wall. And the food... well who cannot relate to that super stuffed feeling. Now I won't give away the ending but it is one of natures
greatest miracles.

I will be reading this story to all the students at my elementary school today. The wonderful people from Pearson Publishing have sent books for all the teachers. My sister-in-law happens to be one of those wonderful people and last weekend she hand delivered another box with even more books. There is nothing that excites a teacher more than a box full of books. (Notice yet another picture of my shadow's arm).

I happen to like to like the picture below because today also happens to mark my 6 month anniversary for becoming a vegetarian.

Now lets go break that world record!

I've been spending lots of time with Eric Carle these days working with preschoolers--so much fun!
