Summer vacation is coming to an end so we've made an effort to soak up every last bit of it. We have been scouting out nearby parks and found the perfect place to spend an 85 degree Saturday afternoon. Sandwiches, fruit and brownies fueled a few hours of swinging, soccer, scootering and football. We were practically the only ones there at the park. It was heaven.
This was picnic 11 on our goal toward 15. The girls and I also snuck in a morning picnic with slides and doughnuts, sandwiches outside on our lawn and an afternoon ice cream treat by the creak this week so we are up to 14. One more to go. We better make it a good one.
It has been a wonderful summer. I can't remember a time when we have had more fun together. So sad that it is coming to an end but I think we are all excited for the start of a new school year and a new chapter to our new life here in Denver.
